Hey everyone!

I have a question to ask you guys...

I recently bought a Canon Rebel XTi as my first slr. Been playin' around with it a little bit. First thing that strikes me is the lens...i don't know much about photography yet but, i mean, it sucks!!

Its slow, has a hard time focusing under some conditions and has a very limited range imo...

I was wondering if you guys could help me find a nice lens? I have somewhat of a limited budget, meaning i cant spends many thousands of dollars on my lens.

I'm looking for a general purpose lens. What is Canon's best general lens in your experience?
